About Us
As stated in our bylaws, the purpose of the Libertarian Party of
Northern Virginia is to promote:
- individual freedom in Fairfax County, Arlington County, and
the Cities of Alexandria, Falls Church, and Fairfax primarily
but not exclusively through the political process; and
- the interests of the Libertarian Party, Libertarian Party of
Virginia, and the LPVA district organizations whose domain includes
these parts of Northern Virginia.
We do this by:
- Recruiting and supporting candidates for office
- Conducting educational outreach at local fairs and festivals,
music festivals, conventions, and other gatherings
- Working with other groups to champion common issues like the
abuse of eminent domain
- Speaking on behalf of Libertarian ideas at meetings of County
Boards and City Councils.
- Communicating with citizens and the media by publishing a bi-monthly
newsletter, press releases, etc.
